Facebook Javascript SDK

Javascript SDK is a new way to connect your site to Facebook. Previous attempts by Facebook to provide social tools were hardly enough to integrate with CMS and required "personal approach": you were forced to change your site header, and add some htm receiver file, and add javascripts... etc. The new OAuth 2.0 protocol is a solution to these problems.

The Javascript SDK plugin for Joomla! 1.5 has uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication and authorization with Facebook Platform, without worrying about the details of the protocol. It requires to implement ALL Facebook Social plugins and modules by Style 13.

Version 1.2 changelog:

# Fixed html rendering.
+ Added 3 additional FB..init parameters for state, coockie and xfbml.
^ Changed admin/site parameters.

How to install:

  • You have to download zip installation file. It`s for free, no registration required.
  • Install plugin to your site.
  • Search Javascript SDK plugin under plugins (filter by system plugins) and open it for editing.
  • If you already own Facebook application you can insert your application ID or use one we have created insetead.  (style13 app default option).
  • You can select location to display Facebook social plugins and modules in your native language: Like  Button plugin, Like Box module.
  • Save you changes and publish plugin.

I\'m sorry but I really cant see that option in parameters save for the choose language. I have used your default settings otherwise. Or is it that I need the Like module etc. preinstalled perhaps? Can you please help me. Quote
