Follow this step-by-step installation guide to deploy PagesManager to your site. This is a very simple process and takes less than five minutes. After successful install, you will learn how to connect component to Facebook and create your own Facebook applications.

Step 1: Download and Install.

• Download free version installation package from http://style13.com/downloads-free/facebook/34-pages-manager
• Upload and install component zip package using joomla! Extension Manager installer. Please note that component is 1.5 native, don`t try it on a new joomla! 1.6.

Step 2: Create Facebook Application.

Don`t panic. It is not requires deep knowledge of Facebook integration. You can skip this step, if you already have a Facebook application or know how to create one.

• Make sure you have a Facebook account.
• Go to http://www.facebook.com/developers/apps.php. You will prompt with "Request for Permission" dialog. Select Allow.
• Congratulation you are an official Facebook apps developer! It was easy right? Now lets start your own application by selecting "+ Set Up New App" button.
• Facebook may ask you to verify account with mobile phone number or bank account number.

Step 3: Edit Application Properties.

• Web Site

  Site URL: should be "http://PATH_TO_YOUR_JOOMLA_SITE/administrator/"

  Site Domain: should your site domain name without leading http://. (example: style13.com)

• Facebook Integration

  Canvas Page: enter name of your app. (at least 6 characters)

  Canvas URL: should be same as previous "Site URL"

• Save your changes by selecting "Save Changes" button.

Step 4: Edit Component Properties.

• Open PagesManager Component by selecting Admin->Components->Pages Manager and then select "Parameters".
• Copy your Facebook application settings to component config and Save.
